Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Swayamkrushi, we are dedicated to the empowerment and self-reliance of individuals with intellectual challenges. As a non-profit organization, we rely on the generous contributions of our donors, sponsors, and well-wishers to support our initiatives. To maintain transparency and accountability, we have outlined our Refund and Cancellation Policy for donations, event registrations, sponsorships, and product purchases.

We encourage our donors and supporters to carefully review this policy before making any transactions.

Donations

Donations made to Swayamkrushi are non-refundable as they are immediately allocated to our programs and initiatives aimed at enriching the lives of intellectually challenged individuals.

However, we understand that errors may occur during online transactions. In such cases:

  • • If a donor has made an incorrect amount donation or a duplicate transaction, they must notify us within 7 days of the transaction at swayamkrushimk@gmail.com.
  • • Requests for refunds in such cases will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and approved refunds will be processed within 7-14 business days through the original payment method.
  • • Refunds will not be issued for donations made towards specific programs or campaigns that have already been utilized.

Event Registrations & Sponsorships

Event Registrations

Swayamkrushi regularly conducts events, workshops, and awareness programs to support its mission. In case a registered participant needs to cancel their participation:

  • A full refund will be provided if cancellation is requested at least 7 days prior to the event.
  • No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 7 days of the event date, as resources and arrangements would have already been allocated.
  • If the event is postponed or cancelled by Swayamkrushi, participants will be given the choice of a full refund or transfer of their registration to a future event.

Sponsorships

Corporate and individual sponsorships play a vital role in sustaining our programs. As sponsorships directly fund initiatives benefiting intellectually challenged individuals:

  • Sponsorship contributions are non-refundable.
  • If a sponsor has mistakenly made an additional payment, they must contact us within 7 days to request a refund.

Product Purchases (Handmade Products by Beneficiaries)

Swayamkrushi encourages self-reliance among intellectually challenged individuals by enabling them to create and sell handcrafted products.

Order Cancellation

  • • Orders can be cancelled within 24 hours of placing the order for a full refund.
  • • Once an order has been processed and shipped, cancellations are not allowed.


Returns & Refunds

  • • Due to the unique and handmade nature of the products, returns are generally not accepted unless the item is damaged or defective.
  • • If you receive a damaged or incorrect product, please inform us within 7 days of receipt by sending an email with a clear photograph of the product to swayamkrushimk@gmail.com
  • • Once the claim is reviewed and approved, we will offer either a replacement or a full refund (excluding shipping charges, if applicable).
  • • Refunds will be processed within 7-14 business days after approval.


Cancellation of Recurring Donations

If you have set up a monthly/recurring donation, you have the option to cancel it at any time:

• To cancel, please notify us at swayamkrushimk@gmail.com, and we will process the cancellation for the next billing cycle. 

• Any donations already processed prior to the cancellation request will not be refunded.

We appreciate your ongoing support, and if you wish to modify your donation plan instead of cancelling, we are happy to assist.

Processing Time for Refunds (If Applicable)

For any approved refund requests, the timeline is as follows:

  • • Refunds will be initiated within 7-14 business days from the date of approval.
  • • The time taken for the refunded amount to reflect in your account depends on your bank/payment provider.
